BULGARIA’S BOURGAS AIRPORT SERVES 28 000 A DAY
The coastal airport of Bourgas serves nearly 28 000 passengers per day.
The port serves 169 aircraft to and from more than 20 destinations every day, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
On July 18 2007, between 8pm and 12pm alone, 33 aircraft were served.
Most of the passengers come from the UK, Sweden and Germany.
The days between mid-July and end of August are the absolute rush month for the airport, BTA said.
On June 29, the airport officially opened its new departure terminal. The project was part of the investment programme of concessionaire Fraport Twin Star Airport Management.
