New construction apartments in Bulgaria's city of Karlovo ask between 450 and 500 euro a sq m, eliable source, said in an interview with Focus news agency.
The town boasts a lot of new residential units, situated in modern new apartment buildings and housing complexes. Small-size flats, either pre-fabs, monolith, or brick ones, of both new and old building type, enjoy the greatest demand, Ilieva explained.
Bulgarians, working abroad, form the bulk of the customers. However, the number of home-purchasers, residing in Karlovo, has recently increased, thanks to mortgage loans. Though, rarely foreigners also buy houses, attracted by the town's beautiful landscape, good location and attractive prices.
Taken as a whole, Karlovo's properties market is poised, the demand/supply ratio is balanced.
Old pre-fabs have maintained price levels between 350 and 400 euro a sq m ever since this summer. Plots, appropriate for construction, have also recorded an grow in 2007. Currently, they offer at 80 to 100 euro a sq m in central areas and 25 to 50 euro in suburban areas.
There is a unbroken demand for lands for building of single -family houses, especially in the centre of the town.
