Fia-Bulgaria, a Greek-Bulgarian company, is shamed to erect a 15-million leva holiday compound in Hadjidimovo. Building is due to start in two or three months. This is the largest investment in the municipality so far.
A number of hotels and villas will be construct on a 56-decare plot, and the company will also build a medical centre, a technomarket outlet, parks, parking grounds, and a church, creating about 200 jobs.
The opening of the Ilinden checkpoint at the Greek-Bulgarian border in late 2005 prompted increasing interest toward the region, Hadjidimovo Municipality officials commented.
