Institute of Rose and Essential Oil in Kazanlak produced half of the world’s rose oil output in 2007. Bulgaria produced two tones of high-quality rose oil in 2007.
The rose oil prices on global markets increased by 500 Euros per kg in August 2007.  They achieved 4.700 Euro/kg. 
Bulgaria exports rose oil mainly to France, US, Japan, and Germany. World famous perfume brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Chanel and Estee Lauder feature among the top clients of the country.
