The Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko – Skiing, skating and more winter fun


 

 The beautiful resort of Bansko is located on the foot of the Pirin mountains and pertains to one of the most popular destinations for those who adore winter sports. During the winter, the resort is a true paradise that attracts a huge number of foreigners due to its tempting enterprise possibilities and wonderful prices. Here is a list of what you can enjoy when you choose to visit Bansko:

Skiing

Your winter dreams will definitely come true-its huge ski runs extend over 80 km and there are 25 ski lifts. Depending on wheter you are an experienced skier or not, you will certainly remain fascinated. Mount Todorka has an altitude of 2600 meters and is easy to conquer via ski lifts. We guarantee, that the descent is going to take your breath away!

Snowboarding

You are not so keen on skiing but snowboarding? Here in Bansko, ou will have the possibility to build your trails suitable for jumps on your own. The area is perfect for races with your friends. However, if you are a serious competitor, you can become part of the Shiligarnika contest. It takes places daily and the rewards for the winners are awesome!

Ice skating

The ice rink in Bansko is located in the resort center near the Gondola lift. It is Bulgaria’s hugest ice rink and it is great fun both for children and adults. Its opening time is from 10 a.m to 10 p.m. and the price of the ticket is 10 lv for adults and only 5 lv for children (2-hour stay).

The Ski Doo jets

Are you an extreme person who is keen on mountain experience? You can hire a Ski Doo jet in Bansko and slide around the slopes of the Pirin mountains. It is an expensive joy but yet worthy. The prices per person are 120 lv for an hour and 150 lv for two people.

Para-skiing

Para-skiing is a kind of hybrid sport that you can enjoy skiing and flying simultaneously! You fly off together with a professional paraplanner, and then you see the snow-covered slopes and finally, you land!
